Live! Morocco vs Saudi Arabia in the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 on beIN SPORTS
Morocco are undefeated through their first two matches at the FIFA Arab Cup.
Saudi Arabia have already booked their place in the quarter-finals after recording back-to-back victories, but there is still plenty at stake in Lusail. For Morocco, the equation is straightforward: a draw is enough to join the Green Falcons in the last eight.
Victory for the Atlas Lions would see them overtake Saudi Arabia at the top of the group, while defeat could leave the door open for Oman to leapfrog them in the standings. With so much on the line, this clash still carries major significance, although Morocco will have to navigate the challenge without suspended captain Abderrazak Hamdallah.
Players to Watch
While Morocco may need goals to ensure progression, a clean sheet would guarantee their place in the knockout stage. At the heart of that defensive effort will likely be Soufiane Bouftini, who has been one of the tournament’s standout central defenders. The UAE-based veteran has impressed with his composure, distribution, and leadership, and has even contributed offensively, scoring one of Morocco’s three goals so far in Qatar.
For Saudi Arabia, Mohamed Kanno has enjoyed an excellent tournament. His brace against Comoros made him the first player to score twice at Qatar 2025. While goals are not typically his calling card, the midfielder’s calm distribution, tactical discipline, and organisational presence have been instrumental in Saudi Arabia’s strong start.
Suspended Players
- Abderrazak Hamdallah (Morocco)
What They Said
🗣 Tarik Tissoudali (Morocco forward):
“It’s clear that the level of teams—especially in Asia—is improving all the time. Players are stronger individually, and that makes every match more difficult. Saudi Arabia will be another tough challenge. After playing the last game with ten men, we lost some energy, so recovery is key. Mentally and physically, though, we’re in good condition.”
🗣 Saleh Al Shehri (Saudi Arabia forward):
“We have one group match left. Our focus is to take the tournament step by step until we reach the final.”
